After years of working the vines at Domaine Jamet, Aurelien Chatagnier founded his namesake estate back in 2002. He began by renting one hectare of vines, which eventually led to him purchasing and replanting ten of his own. Fruit for his Saint-Joseph Rouge is organically farmed and hand-harvested, ferments with native yeast, and is aged in used oak. The wine is juicy and dark-fruited, marked by an impeccable balance. Watch out, Rhone lovers- Aurelien is undoubtedly one of the region’s top up & coming winemakers to watch!
