Founded in 1998 by Matthieu Barret, Domaine du Coulet’s 16 hectares of vines sit on old granite soils in Cornas, farmed all organically. Fermentations are done in tank and aging is done in used 400L barrels, with final wines bottled unfined and unfiltered. ‘Billes Noires’ is destemmed and fermented with native yeasts, giving way to a concentrated, dark-fruited wine, full of earth-driven flavors. Pair with red meats and all things grilled.
