Denis Carré first fell in love with wine while working harvest in Burgundy as a teenager. In 1975, Denis rented a small parcel of vines and produced his first three barrels of wine, which eventually led to the creation of his small namesake winery in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune. Fruit for ‘Le Jarron’ comes from a small lieu-dit rooted in limestone topsoils. The wine shows flavors of black cherry, tart raspberries, wet stones, and mushrooms.
