Cap De Nit is a project run by Josh Kniesel and Josie Cleeve and they farm grapes and make wine in the Marina Alta district of Alicante. As is evident from their names, neither are Spanish by birth, but both found their way to this corner of Mediterranean Spain independently. Josie’s family moved to Alicante from London when she was a small child. Josh’s family is from Germany, but they have a summer house in the area, so he went back and forth throughout his childhood. The Blanc 100% Moscatel de Alejandría from organically-farmed vineyards in the Marina Alta district of Alicante. Fermentation begins spontaneously from the activity of native yeasts in a combination of clay amphorae, plexiglass bins and glass demijohns. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered and without additives of any kind after five days of skin contact. Round and floral this wine would pair perfectly with soft cheeses or on it's own while you lay under a shady tree this summer.
