Bernard Moreau’s son, Alex, now spearheads the winemaking at the former Bernard Moreau, and continue to support the estate’s ‘hands off’ mentality. Their Chassagne-Montrachet is classically elegant. Marked by a rich and round body, the wine is noted with flavors of tart peach, bright citrus, lemon cream, and sweet spice.
Elegant and precise, the wine shows flavors of lemon cream, crushed stones, honeycomb, fresh pastry dough, and salt -- think Chevenottes meets Vergers. This rich yet elegant white pairs with a variety of foods, especially poultry and rich seafood dishes. Fleshy yet taut, finished with green apple-driven acidity.
