The name Ixsir derives from "Iksir", the original Arabic word for "Elixir". The vision behind Ixsir is to reveal the best terroirs of Lebanon, some of which have been long forgotten. Cultivated with respect to sustainable agriculture, Ixsir's vineyards are spread in the mountains of Lebanon on clay-calcareous and limestone soils. Altitudes is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Tempranillo, and Caladoc that is aged French oak for 6 months 15% of which is new. The bold, smokey, dark fruited characters of this wine beg to be paired with whatever you've got on the grill or anything with a bit of char on it.
