Hervé Souhaut founded his domaine in 1993, farming five hectares of old vines (50-100 yrs. old) in the Rhone Valley. Souhaut produces his wines entirely from organic whole grape bunches and semi-carbonic maceration, giving way to balanced, elegant bottles.The 2017 Syrah comes from schist soils, aged on its fine lees in old casks. Notes of violets, meat, & sappy black fruit create a vibrant, persistent palate; great with lamb, game, or roast pork!
