Deemed one of the most important producers in the Wachau Valley, Franz Hirtzberger took over his family’s vines in 1983, which are dominated by Gruner Veltliner and Riesling. Fermentations are always done in steel with native yeasts, with aging done in large foudre. This thirst-quenching, fresh Riesling shows flavors of tangy citrus, salty sea breezes, and lemon-tinged stone fruit, showing structured backbone and lasting acidity.
