This light, bright, and undeniably delicious varietal Cab Franc is loaded with flavors of red currants, stewed plums, tart raspberries, and pepper. Fruit for this wine is cultivated organically and comes from vines rooted in sandy limestone soils. The wine’s aromatic complexity and thought-provoking palate are quite impressive, though it doesn’t come as much of a surprise, as winemaker Antoine Foucault is the son/nephew of the former owners of Clos Rougeard.
