Founded by famed ‘mustachioed character’ Bernard Diochon, this namesake winery has been making strides in Moulin-a-Vent since 1935, producing wines from the appellation’s ‘crumbly granite’ soils. The 2012 Moulin-a-Vent is floral and dark-fruited, showing great structure and well-integrated tannins; food-friendly and complex, a stellar example of how wonderful great Beaujolais can be with a few years of age on it.
