In 1999, Daniel Vollenweider started out with just one hectare of old vines in the Middle Mosel. Today, Daniel’s holdings are still small (four hectares), and all work is done by him-- a true one man show! Vinification is done with a hands-off mentality and utmost respect for the environment is always placed first. ‘Wolfer Goldgrube’ Spatlese is weighty yet energetic, balanced by nervy acidity and a glossy, lightning-like finish.
