Magnon produces just 1700 cases a year and is deemed some of the best up-and-coming producers in the Languedoc. After studying under Jean Foillard, Magnon implements the same natural practices he learned in Beaujolais, which he believes best champions terroir-driven fruit and pure final wines. ‘La Demarrante’ is a Carignan dominant blend rounded out with Grenache and Syrah. Fruit is grown in sandy limestone and schist soils on gobelet trained vines, then is whole cluster fermented and aged in a combination of steel and oak. The wine is poppy and bright, marked by flavors of red berries, pine, white pepper, and herbs. A true #PorchPounder!
