Oenology student turned DRC intern Jorge Monzón works 66 hectares of vines around his hometown of La Aguilera, focusing on indigenous regional varieties, old vines, and organic farming. ‘Peña Aladas’ is a Tempranillo dominant blend fermented naturally and whole-cluster in steel and aged 55 months in French oak, giving way to a textured, fruit-forward bottle noted with fine-grained tannins and strong backbone.
