Although ‘Santo Stefano’ often gets all the glory, this highly underrated cuvée from Bruno Giacosa is seriously delicious. Fruit comes from vineyards in Neive and is vinified with meticulous attention to detail. Notes of meaty cherries, oregano, underbrush, smoke, and blood orange rind dominate the wine’s earth-driven palate. We’d drink this now or over the next five years while the wine’s core is still ripe.
