This Tempranillo-dominant (95%) Rioja comes from 50-year-old vines in Sonsierra. After fermenting with native yeasts, the wine is aged for four years in American oak barrels. Now with 10 years of age on it, the wine’s tertiary notes are starting to show their colors. Flavors of mature red fruit, baking spice, cigar smoke, and dark chocolate are balanced by tangy acidity and a structured core. Drink now or continue to age through 2045.
