This peppery and earth-driven Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge is loaded with flavors of red fruit, black currants, violets, and spice. Although reds from Chassagne can often be tannic and austere, this bottle is wonderfully balanced, thanks to Alex and Benoit Bernard’s careful (and light) extractions. Serve slightly chilled with a variety of Burgundian-inspired dishes.
