New to the scene in Wachau, Peter Veyder-Malberg seeks to understand the region’s unique microclimates and terroirs through each of his precise cuvées. Peter is committed to organic farming & working by hand; ‘Brandstatt’ is Peter’s recultivation project, located in one of Wachau’s coolest microclimates, rooted in mica schist soils. The 2016 is expressive & bright, matured in local acacia barrels. Rocky and complex; will stand the test of time.
