Diego Losado, a non-interventionist wine grower, is shaking things up in Bierzo, creating wines of intensity, focus, & purity. Vines grow at high elevations and are farmed organically in the province of León. Fruit for ‘La Barbacana’ comes from 100+ year old vines, comprised mostly of Garnacha Tintorera. Juice ages in chestnut barrels for 11 months, giving way to a grippy yet refreshing wine, loaded with acidity & length. Pair with lamb or game.
