Founded in 1924 by Georges Roumier, Domaine G. Roumier holds the standard for sensational Burgundy produced across various appellations, many of which are Premier and Grand Crus. Georges’ grandson, Christophe, took over the winery in 1992, using mostly destemmed fruit, followed by fermentation and elevage in oak. The 2014 ‘Ruchottes-Chambertin’ is cherry fruited and spicy, with strong minerality and a long finish; fresh, intense, and aromatic.
